RoomPriceGenie Review

A cloud-based revenue-management system that reprices hotel and B&B rooms automatically — deep hotel-PMS integrations and a strong Capterra rating, but no public pricing and no Airbnb connection.

Verdict
RoomPriceGenie is a mature, well-reviewed pricing engine for hotels and B&Bs running a hotel-grade PMS, but its quote-only annual pricing and total absence of Airbnb or Vrbo integration make it the wrong category of tool for individual short-term-rental hosts.

Pros

  • 80+ built-in PMS and channel-manager integrations — including Mews, Cloudbeds, Opera Cloud, Guestline, RMS Cloud, SiteMinder and Beds24 — confirmed on its own integrations page
  • Autopilot pushes recalculated rates straight into the connected PMS with no manual approval step, paired with real-time Surge Protection against sudden demand spikes
  • Update frequency scales with plan — 4 price uploads a day on Core, 24 a day on Premium with daily pricing control — plus a Group Displacement Calculator and minimum-stay controls most flat pricing tools skip
  • Professional tier adds a dedicated human revenue manager with VIP onboarding and quarterly strategy reviews, a hybrid software-plus-service option not every dynamic-pricing tool offers
  • 14-day free trial with no credit card required and no obligation, confirmed directly on the pricing page
  • Independently rated 5.0 out of 5 on Capterra across 13 verified reviews, with Ease of Use and Customer Service both scored 5.0

Cons

  • No pricing is published anywhere on the site; all three tiers (Core, Premium, Professional) route to a 'Contact Sales' quote form rather than showing a number
  • Billing runs on an annual commitment, paid monthly or upfront — a longer lock-in than the month-to-month tools built for smaller operators
  • Neither Airbnb nor Vrbo appears among its 80+ integrations; the only bridge toward short-term rentals is Guesty, itself a separate PMS you'd have to buy and connect
  • Built and marketed exclusively for hotels, B&Bs, inns, hostels and serviced apartments — its own Capterra listing pegs the sweet spot at 5–60 rooms, not solo Airbnb hosts
  • Some Capterra reviewers flagged incomplete PMS integration with certain systems, and we could not independently verify a G2 rating — g2.com/products/roompricegenie/reviews returned an HTTP 403 block when we tried to access it

RoomPriceGenie (at roompricegenie.com) is a cloud-based dynamic-pricing and revenue-management system built for independent hotels, bed & breakfasts, inns, hostels and serviced apartments — not for individual Airbnb hosts. It recalculates nightly rates from demand, booking pace and competitor data, then shows the recommendation on a visual rate calendar or pushes it automatically into a connected property-management system through its Autopilot feature. The company states it is "trusted by over 4,000 hoteliers around the world" and that properties using it "boost revenue by 19%."

Pricing

Not published. RoomPriceGenie's pricing page lists three tiers — Core ("Automated & Effortless"), Premium ("Insight & Control") and Professional ("Expert Partnership") — but shows no dollar figures on any of them; every tier ends in a "Contact Sales" button for "a free, personalized quote tailored to your needs." What is published: billing runs per property per month under an annual commitment, payable monthly or upfront, with volume discounts for multi-property accounts. The tiers differ mainly in update frequency and support: Core uploads new prices 4 times a day with a 3-month dashboard history and annual strategy reviews; Premium uploads 24 times a day, adds 2-year historical data, daily pricing control and quarterly reviews; Professional layers on a dedicated human revenue manager, VIP onboarding and quarterly strategy sessions. A 14-day free trial is offered with "no credit card required" and "no obligation."

Who it's for

RoomPriceGenie's own site is explicit about its buyer: independent hotels, hotel groups, B&Bs and inns, hostels, and serviced apartments. Capterra's listing narrows it further to properties "with 5 to 60 rooms" competing against larger chains with full-time revenue managers. Its 80+ integrations are all hotel-world PMS and channel-manager names — Mews, Cloudbeds, Opera Cloud, Guestline, RMS Cloud, SiteMinder, Beds24, eviivo and more — and neither Airbnb nor Vrbo appears anywhere on its integrations page or features page. The closest bridge to short-term rentals is Guesty, itself a separate PMS you'd need to buy and connect. If you run a single Airbnb listing, or a small STR portfolio with no hotel-grade PMS behind it, RoomPriceGenie was not built with you in mind.

What we could verify

Everything above on features, tier structure and integrations comes directly from RoomPriceGenie's own homepage, pricing, integrations and features pages. Some of its headline numbers are self-reported and we could not independently confirm them: the 19% revenue-boost figure, "save 10 hours a week," the "4,000 hoteliers" count, a case study citing "567 properties around the world increased their revenue," a claimed 98% recommendation score and 4.9/5 support rating, and a "#1 in top 5 Revenue Management Systems" placement on Hotel Tech Report. We could reach RoomPriceGenie's Capterra listing, which independently shows a 5.0 out of 5 overall rating from 13 verified reviews (Ease of Use 5.0, Customer Service 5.0); several reviewers praised support and rate accuracy but noted that PMS integration is incomplete for some systems, though they said the company resolves compatibility issues quickly. We also tried G2 for a second independent data point, but g2.com/products/roompricegenie/reviews returned an HTTP 403 access block, so we cannot confirm RoomPriceGenie's G2 rating or review count here — flagging that gap rather than guessing at it.

How it compares to our top pick

RoomPriceGenie and BnBGenius aren't competing for the same buyer. RoomPriceGenie is a specialized dynamic-pricing engine for hotels, B&Bs and inns that already run a hotel-grade PMS — it doesn't touch guest messaging, upsells or phone calls at all. BnBGenius is a no-PMS AI operations layer built for Airbnb-style short-term rentals — an AI phone concierge, a task loop, review generation and gap-night upsells — for a flat $10/month after the first 500 messages free. If you manage a small hotel or B&B and need help setting nightly rates across a PMS you already pay for, RoomPriceGenie's tiered automation and human-revenue-manager option are worth a quote. If you host on Airbnb or Vrbo and want the guest-facing side handled without buying a PMS first, BnBGenius covers that ground instead — the two solve different problems and could reasonably run side by side if a portfolio ever mixes hotel-grade rooms with short-term-rental listings.
