Gustaf.ai Review
A free-forever calendar and task tool for one or two Airbnb listings, with a paid AI review generator on top — bundled inside a site whose own footer still reads 2019.
Pros
- Basic plan is genuinely free forever for up to 2 listings — no card and no trial clock attached
- Premium adds an AI Airbnb review generator, invoicing, multi-calendar sync, and 24/7 support for a flat $8/property/month when billed annually
- 14-day Premium trial doesn't require a credit card up front
- No commission and no setup fee on either paid tier, with a 48-hour full-refund window
- Cleaning/staff portal and task automation ship even on the free Basic plan
Cons
- Footer copyright still reads 2019 and homepage copy has uncorrected typos, both pointing to a product that isn't being actively maintained
- Calendar sync is iCal-based on Basic; Premium only promises "advanced" calendar sync without specifying real-time two-way sync or which platforms it covers
- No /about or team page (it 404s), so company size, founders, and staffing can't be independently verified
- Pricing page shows only the annual-billed $8/property/month rate — no separate month-to-month price is published
- No Vrbo, Booking.com, or other OTA is named anywhere on the site; review generation and support appear to be Airbnb-only despite "cross-platform" homepage language
Gustaf.ai (gustaf.ai) is a browser-based "lite-PMS" built for small Airbnb hosts. Its homepage tagline sums up the pitch: manage bookings in one place by syncing calendars, automating tasks, messages, invoices, and Airbnb reviews. The dashboard bundles a cross-platform booking calendar, task automation, a cleaning/staff portal, automated guest messaging, an invoice generator, and an AI tool that writes Airbnb guest reviews, with Amazon Alexa integration listed as "coming soon." The company lists offices in London, UK and New York, US, and the whole pitch rests on a genuinely free tier for hosts with one or two listings, with paid automation layered on top per property.
Pricing
Gustaf.ai publishes three tiers on its own pricing page. Basic is free forever for up to 2 listings and includes iCal calendar sync, task automation, the staff portal, and a mobile-friendly interface — no card and no trial clock attached. Premium is listed at $8 per property per month "when billed annually," with a 14-day free trial that doesn't require a card up front; if no card is added before the trial ends, the account automatically drops back to Basic. Premium adds multi-calendar support, "advanced" calendar sync, the invoicing generator, the Airbnb review generator, 24/7 support, and email notifications. Above 20 properties, pricing switches to a custom Enterprise quote. The pricing page notes no commission and no setup fee, all prices exclude VAT, and cancellations within 48 hours of a purchase or renewal get a full refund. One gap worth flagging: the page only ever displays the annual-billed rate — it doesn't publish a separate month-to-month price, so anyone who doesn't want an annual commitment won't know the real monthly-billed cost until checkout.
Who it's for
Gustaf.ai fits a narrow slice of hosts: someone running one or two Airbnb listings who wants a free calendar and task list and is fine with a bare-bones tool in exchange for paying nothing. It can also suit a small host who specifically wants an AI-drafted review prompt for guests and is willing to pay $8/property/month for that plus the rest of the Premium bundle. It's a weaker fit for hosts who list on Vrbo, Booking.com, or a direct-booking site alongside Airbnb — nothing on the site names another OTA, and the review generator is described only in Airbnb terms despite the homepage's "cross-platform" language for the calendar. It's also not a fit for anyone who wants phone or voice coverage, since none is offered at any tier.
What we could verify
Several things on the live site support the under-maintained concern we'd flagged before writing this review. The footer copyright still reads "© 2019 All rights reserved" as of mid-2026, and homepage copy carries typos that read like they've sat uncorrected for a long time — "automaticaly creat awesome reviews" and "few a clicks" both appear as written on the page. There's no working /about page — it returns a 404 — so team size, founders, and staffing levels can't be confirmed from the site itself. We also tried to pull independent user reviews to balance the marketing copy: Gustaf.ai's G2 reviews page returned an HTTP 403 (blocked), and its Capterra listing returned a 404 on repeated attempts, so we could not independently verify star ratings, review counts, or user-reported complaints on either platform. Reliability claims — uptime, support responsiveness, how well "advanced calendar sync" performs in practice — are self-reported by the company; we found no independent source to check them against.
How it compares to our top pick
Gustaf.ai and BnBGenius solve different problems. Gustaf.ai is a calendar-and-tasks lite-PMS with a bolted-on AI review writer; BnBGenius is a flat-fee AI layer — phone concierge, a task loop, review generation, and gap-night upsells — that sits on top of whatever calendar or PMS you already use, with the first 500 messages free and then a flat $10/month regardless of property count, no PMS purchase required. If you have exactly one or two listings and want a free calendar, Gustaf.ai's Basic plan is hard to beat on price. But if you want a tool that's visibly active, covers phone calls, and doesn't leave you guessing about its own upkeep, BnBGenius is the stronger long-term bet.
