EZcare Review
A back-of-house housekeeping, maintenance and inventory platform for professional property managers — deep on field-ops detail, but priced only through a sales call and running on a visibly dated tech stack.
Pros
- Barcode inventory scanning that tracks items from purchase through storage to individual units — a level of inventory depth few housekeeping-ops competitors match
- Maintenance work orders auto-generate from field-reported issues and push labor and parts directly into a connected PMS for owner statements
- Dedicated linen-management workflows for scaling laundry operations, plus customizable inspection forms with photo and video documentation
- Offline-capable mobile app for field staff that syncs automatically once connectivity returns, useful on properties with weak on-site signal
- Named, checkable customers rather than only anonymous quotes — Garden City Realty, Kabino, CWS and Premiere Island Management Group all appear as identified clients or case-study subjects
- Confirmed as a real, current integration partner on Hostaway's own marketplace listing — independent evidence the PMS-integration claim holds for at least one major platform, beyond EZcare's own marketing
Cons
- No published rate card — pricing pages show only "as low as 15 cents per order" on one plan and "Contact us for pricing" on another, with no full tier breakdown visible without a sales call
- Support and billing still route through [email protected], the email domain of EZcare's predecessor product, six years after the 2020 rebrand
- Its account and pricing pages still run on raw ASP.NET .aspx URLs, consistent with a platform that hasn't had a full technical refresh since launch
- No current, named PMS integration list on the live site — the only specific partners on record (Streamline, Escapia, Track, Rent Manager) come from the 2020 launch announcement, not an up-to-date integrations page
- Independent ratings are hard to pin down — G2 blocked our automated access, and Capterra surfaces an unrelated child-care product also branded "EZCare," so third-party star ratings elsewhere should be double-checked before trusting them
EZcare is a back-of-house operations platform for vacation-rental, multi-family and corporate-housing managers, built around housekeeping scheduling, maintenance work orders, inventory scanning and linen logistics rather than anything guest-facing. It was launched on August 31, 2020 as a rebrand of an older product called EZ Inspections, and is owned by Harmonisoft, Inc. — a fact confirmed on more than one page of EZcare's own site. EZcare's 2020 launch announcement named Brian Butler, a hospitality-industry veteran with prior sales and operations experience at NAVIS, Vacasa and TurnKey Vacation Rentals, as leader of the EZcare team; we found no more recent leadership confirmation on the current site.
Pricing
EZcare does not publish a rate card. Its pricing flow splits by plan: one path headlines "as low as 15 cents per order," with no further tiers shown beyond that number, while its rental-property plan skips a price entirely and instead reads "Contact us for pricing at 1-866-931-9719 or [email protected]" — support and billing still route through the email domain of EZcare's predecessor product, EZ Inspections, six years after the rebrand. That rental-property page does list what the unpublished price includes: unlimited users, unlimited photos and documents, free cloud storage of data and photos for seven years, a browser-based admin console, free mobile apps for Android, iPhone/iPad and Windows, custom form builders, and PMS automation integration. A footnote defines an "order" as any work order created in the account — reopening a completed order still counts as one, and orders created by mistake can be deleted within 24 hours to avoid being billed. We could not find a self-serve monthly or per-unit number anywhere on the site.
Who it's for
EZcare is built for teams, not a single self-managed host. Its feature set — barcode inventory scanning tracked from purchase through storage to individual units, maintenance work orders that auto-generate from field-reported issues and push labor and parts directly into a connected PMS for owner statements, dedicated linen-management workflows, and customizable inspection forms with photo and video documentation — targets vacation-rental management companies, corporate-housing operators and cleaning-service businesses coordinating staff across multiple properties. If you clean and inspect your own single listing, this is far more system than you need; it makes sense once you have field staff whose work has to be scheduled, tracked and billed back to owners.
What we could verify
EZcare's site names specific, identifiable customers rather than only anonymous quotes — Garden City Realty, Kabino, CWS and Premiere Island Management Group all appear as named clients or case-study subjects, and a testimonial from Ashley Dixon at Garden City Realty states EZcare "has completely transformed how we manage turnovers." Those are self-reported endorsements, not independent data, but naming real companies is more checkable than an anonymous quote. Independent of EZcare's own marketing, Hostaway's marketplace lists EZcare as an active integration partner — real evidence the PMS-integration claim holds for at least one major platform, though the descriptive copy on that listing reads like vendor-supplied marketing text rather than Hostaway's own editorial assessment. Separately, a competing vendor, Breezeway, published a comparison naming EZcare directly and claiming its users "can't review task status in real-time" for maintenance and repairs — a specific claim, but from a rival's own marketing content, so we're flagging it as a competitor's framing rather than a verified fact. We tried to check independent review platforms directly: G2's reviews page for EZcare blocked our automated access, so we could not confirm a rating ourselves. On Capterra, our searches kept surfacing an unrelated child-care management product that is also branded "EZCare" — a naming collision that makes it easy to mistake someone else's star rating for this EZcare's, so we did not cite a Capterra score rather than risk attributing the wrong product's reviews. We also noticed EZcare's account and pricing pages still run on raw ASP.NET .aspx URLs, consistent with a platform that hasn't had a full technical refresh since its 2020 rebrand.
How it compares to our top pick
BnBGenius and EZcare barely overlap in what they actually do. BnBGenius is guest-facing — an AI phone concierge, task loop, review generation and gap-night upsells, running flat at $10/month after the first 500 messages free, with no PMS required. EZcare is entirely back-of-house: housekeeping, maintenance, inventory and linen ops for the team behind the listing, not the guest inside it, and it assumes you already have (or want) a PMS to feed labor and parts data into. A management company could plausibly run both at once — EZcare to coordinate cleaners and maintenance techs, BnBGenius to handle the guest conversation and upsells around that same stay. Neither replaces the other.
